Bear Mountain AB
Managing transportation projects in Northern Canada presents unique challenges as variables like weather and road conditions threaten driver safety and project milestones. We rely on a variety of processes to help our Northern customers meet their goals.
One of those processes is a pre-emptive capacity stress test, which helps us gauge the risk of not meeting project milestones. That was the case for the 120 wind turbine components which we delivered to Bear Mountain AB. When weather concerns shortened our delivery window and threatened our on time commitments we were able to shuffle our operations to free up additional capacity. The result was that we were able to meet our project milestones without any increase in costs.
